Before creating my college magazine, I undertook research on my target audience to find out what they would want to be included in a college magazine. I did this by having informal interviews with students at college and by making a questionnaire that I got students (that do/did not take media studies) to fill out. I designed my questionnaire so it would give me answers about how I should lay out my magazine, possible names and straplines, how the photo should be taken, including the gender of the student, where the photo should be taken etc., and what content should be included in the magazine. I then designed my college magazine front cover and contents page based on the results I got from the students. The name for my college magazine has come from one of my questionnaires, the photos location was the overall consensus and the colour scheme was also the most popular option.
